Chevra Honey: The Sweet Story

Chevra Honey began in 2015 when 5 life long friends embraced the experience of establishing bee colonies in the suburbs. In time we wanted to share the passion with others and thus we have expanded into many gardens throughout Melbourne.

Chevra honey is not just about our sweet raw honey. Our primary endeavour is to encourage a change in the local neighbourhood with bee friendly plantings and hive placements that will bring about a healthier and sustainable environment. By supporting us, you are part of a voice that embraces the need for natural co-existence even in our urban surroundings. In time we wanted to share the passion with others and thus we have expanded into many gardens throughout Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula and Bendigo.

Our Urban Farm Door

Our 'farm gate shop' is another way of connecting with the local community. The honour table sits within a garden setting and is always stocked with our various honeys and other hive related products.

Bee Friendly Plants

Encouraging the selection of native plants, shrubs and trees for our gardens, is another way to help the bees survive in urban locations. Bee friendly plantings enable the bees to forage for pollen and collect nectar from our gardens, parks and public spaces.
